Fire Bricks

A fire brick is a block of refractory ceramic material used in lining furnaces, kilns, fireboxes, and fireplaces. A refractory brick is designed mainly to withstand high heat, but should also usually have a low thermal conductivity to save energy.

Insulating firebrick is used to line fireplaces, fireboxes, furnaces and kilns. It is sometimes referred to as “refractory brick” and is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 3,200⁰F while actually conducting very little of that heat in order to provide a greater level of energy efficiency.

• Alumina refractories are suitable for lining furnace operating up to 1850°C. Alumina refractories have the advantages of a high resistance in oxidizing and reducing atmosphere and is extensively used in heat processing industries.

Fire clay is resistant to high temperatures, having fusion points higher than 1,600 °C (2,910 °F); therefore it is suitable for lining furnaces, as fire brick, and for manufacture of utensils used in the metalworking industries, such as crucibles, saggars, retorts and glassware.

Set-50 Fine is 50% alumina & Chemical/ ceramic bonded firebricks refractory cement/mortar which can resist temperature up to 1500°C (2732°F). It is applicable for 30% - 50% alumina Firebricks joints and repairing, small gap filling of existing lining.
